A teenager is in custody Wednesday night after a disturbing video showed someone kicking an elderly woman in the head.
An older Asian-American woman was standing alone at a light rail platform and was taunted by two teens. Then, she was kicked in the face by one of them before the teens turned and ran away.
To say this is uncalled for is such a huge understatement, said Metro Transit spokesperson Howie Padilla. It really is.
Metro Transit says it started getting calls about the assault Tuesday after the video was posted on social media.

Am I allowed to make broad generalizations against these fine people who kicked an elderly woman in the head, just like you were all allowed to make sweeping RACIST generalizations in the above posts???
Why not?
Time to check yourself DU...you're becoming a parody at this point..and not a good one.

(948 posts)It is the racism on this board I am talking about...The ridiculous generalizations that are allowed to stand here...
You know...saying things like "Why are white people who kill black people not charged?"...
What benefit does a statement like that make?
In your country "has a white person ever been charged with killing a black person?"
Yes or no?

(29,674 posts)And convicted-of killing a black person. Is it common? No. Stating it never happens will have the argument picked apart and the point will be lost.

(18,615 posts)But there was a lot of crow served to the many who made assumptions about the criminals in Flint that murdered the security guard.
Little was learned from that as the same assumptions where made about the person who shot the McDonald's employees on Oklahoma.
Certain bigotry is accepted and tolerated at DU DU which if directed differently would be shut down in half a heartbeat. It is not good
