(9,353 posts)Its been around 230 deaths for several days now. Significant reduction from last month.
Nice for us, sucks for the rest of the country. Numbers are skyrocketing all over the middle.

(171,057 posts)your governor daily, because he's the only one telling the truth. I am a NYer and proud of it. I remember when that number exceeded 700 daily. It's a great reduction, but still...230 deaths from this virus tells me everyone else better stand by for weeks of horror, especially the states who thought it was no big deal.
Newest Reality
(12,712 posts)I have a lot of admiration and respect for Gov. Cuomo. He demonstrates real leadership, intelligence, concern, compassion, etc. He makes you feel sincerely like he has your back, he's on it and he is doing everything he can to serve his people and protect them.
The contrast is alarming. A entire country needs a leader with those traits in a time like this. Instead, we get Big Bother and his election/dictator obsession.

(51,585 posts)Yesterday was the 4th highest as far as daily deaths go (I look at the bar graphs on Worldometers). Unbelievable to think of reopening.

(35,300 posts)Doesn't mean they died today.
Look at the curve, recognize that death doesn't happen with such a nice rhythm. It may vary slightly from day to day, but it's fairly flat.

(171,057 posts)people reported dead daily. You're right, there are so many stories out there, who knows what they ultimately died of, or when.
