I will never forget back in the 80s when I first came out. This was all before I eventually ended up getting raped. That is a whole different story. There were no "hate crimes" back then and no one helped you either when stuff like that happened back then. Not the police, not mental health, not family. No one.

Still, they trotted these assholes out as "examples" of who I should be dating instead of other women. Even if I was straight, I'd fake gay to get away from devolving the species that way. THAT was the best they could come up with to try to make me straight? That was what they were all trying to do, my mother, the rest of my family, neighbors, random strangers. Why is Georgia Governor Kemp doing a thumbs up next to a guy wearing a shirt like that?
