It was at this point that I finally saw our country is dead.

Of course it will meander on acting like it is still the great superpower it once was but everyone else in the world will treat it like the crazy uncle it has been for a while waiting for it to pass into oblivion. Death cults posing as political parties, the extreme loss of reason, the slavish fatality and fealty to commercialism, destroying our environment to the point of detriment to all of us. The use of fear and unreasoning to control us and the absolute resolution of us to not only follow that but to defend it all too often to our deaths. Its not just them. It may be mostly them but its also us. Its the anti-vaccine, anti science, the pro woo, pro nuclear, anti-renewable, the everything or nothing that gave us Dump instead of Clinton. If you think this was bad wait till global warming hits us bad. Like this it will be too late, too little, and even then denied that it is happening when we can goddamn walk out our door and see it. Good luck all. Fight to the end, but know that it is the beginning of the end.

PS, yes, I know plenty of people on here will say that I am fearmongering, I got that last time before the midterms when I said that even if we won the senate or house things would still get worse. Well just like I said things got worse, way worse. I cant see the future but I can see the probabilities. Even if Biden wins things are going to get much worse, dump way way worse. If that makes you want to stop fighting then so be it, that's on you not me. Ive spent a lifetime studying history, science and looking at the data. I see the probabilities of what is going to happen and I'm not going to sugarcoat it.

I'm pretty sure we'll get through this period.

Though I do agree with a lot of what you're saying, and we will never be 'Great Again' to uh, borrow a term.

Have some faith in the majority though, as it's the minority in this country that it seems you are giving a whole lot of credence to.

But its not the minority that I have a problem with. Regardless I hope that I am wrong, but the data and history tells me that I just dont think I am.

At some point I have to hope that people who get their satisfaction in life from Fox News are going to have to notice that others like them are making terrible choices for which they are accountable.

On the one hand things will never be the same thanks to the republicans. And on the other hand it won’t last that long thanks to all of us destroying the planet. I am hoping people learn they don’t need to eat animal products during this current shortage, which would help extend the the life of the planet. Overall I agree with your sentiment unfortunately.
