Question

When Flynn plead guilty, how much got hidden under the rug?

It always seemed strange to me how Flynn was accused of lying to Pence, and how it took quite awhile before Trump did anything about it. Then, after Trump fired Flynn (it was like a week later) he kept talking about how much of a good guy Flynn was.

For example- did Pence know something he(Pence) was lying about and it was better to have Flynn be the liar instead of Pence?

That was always strange to me how that whole thing went down. What did I miss?

was that Flynn's son was in big trouble. Flynn probably could have kept quiet and got off, but Mueller had the goods on Flynn's son. So Flynn traded his son's freedom for reduced charges.

Flynn's son should be prosecuted if Flynn goes free.

A blackmail scheme such as that would be provable in court. It wouldn't hold up. Flynn had lawyers that would have seen through it.

Why would they even need such a deal? A lie is a lie, and can be proven. Even the White House claims he lied to Pence. I'll admit it, I guess I don't know how the law works in the land.

"Flynn's son should be prosecuted if Flynn goes free."

^THIS. Yes!

Flynn should not go free. Then again, if we lived in a just country, a lot of people would not be walking around free. Stoopid Senate had their chance to stop a lot of stoopid but Susan Collins was "concerned" and the rest that voted against convicting were downright evil. Then there was Gabbard who managed to weasel out altogether and go on Fox News and bash Democrats at the same time.

Pence knew everything that everyone else did. That was an excuse to keep him viable in case Trump did not survive the scandal at that time. It was a Party strategy. They wanted to keep Pence clean, just in case.

Pence knew he had talked with the Russians.
