People around the world elected far right, authoritarian, extremists to lead them. Far right Authoritarian extremists are the worst type of people, governments , to have in place to battle a pandemic. They use it as a weapon, for evil purposes.
We have Trump, many other countries elected Trump clones. Brazil is good example.

stole the countries in the same manner as trump. BTW Hillary warned us years ago about what was happening, too bad Bill had to have a happy willie.

A strong, functioning U.S. could have helped those fighting RW extremism in other nations, as we always had, but we are no longer that.
