I do expect that the number of guns will continue to increase and the gun-related crime rate will continue to decrease.
Just my humble opinion, but the crisis has seen a marked increase in the number of good democrats purchasing handguns and weapons. Once they get some experience and training their support for Bloomberg-style gun laws drop off considerably.
I wan in the Army for 20 years, most of my relatives served, and damn near all of them have several weapons --- no one has ever shot anyone.
Paper targets, pumpkins, and plastic bottles may not be as lucky.
BTW, shooting at Tannerite is one of the great joys of life!

How many recruits shopped at the PX while carrying AR-15s?
What does life in the Army have to do with school shootings?
Where are your numbers for "good democrats purchasing handguns and weapons"?
Do you believe only GOPers had guns before COVID-19?

They certainly did.
How many recruits shopped at the PX while carrying AR-15s?
Shopping, no ... occasionally some stored in a jeep with a guard.
What does life in the Army have to do with school shootings?
School shootings - Nothing. Respect for weapons and gun handling rules - a lot
Where are your numbers for "good democrats purchasing handguns and weapons"?
No numbers - just anecdotal hearsay.
Do you believe only GOPers had guns before COVID-19?
Definitely not, a few of my gun-toting, pick-up truck driving relatives are hardcore democrats.
I'm very happy that my extended family manages to have large gatherings with politics becoming a problem.
