Health officials order closure of Castle Rock restaurant that defied coronavirus public health order

Last edited Mon May 11, 2020, 06:54 PM - Edit history (4)

Updated (below) to note their business license has been suspended INDEFINITELY by State.

(This references the swamped restaurant/coffee shop South of Denver that illegally opened with more than 500 unmasked people yesterday--video has been posted here and elsewhere)

Tri-County Health Department says C&C Coffee and Kitchen must close until it complies with governor’s order

https://www.denverpost.com/2020/05/11/castle-rock-restaurant-closed-coroanvirus-covid/

The Tri-County Health Department on Monday ordered a Castle Rock restaurant that opened to Mother’s Day crowds Sunday to close until it complies with the statewide COVID-19 public health order limiting dining establishments to take-out and delivery services.

Tri-County said it warned C&C Coffee and Kitchen on Friday not to open for Mother’s Day, but the restaurant opened for dine-in services anyway, according to a statement from the department.

“If the restaurant refuses to follow Governor Jared Polis’ public health order, further legal action will be taken that could include revocation of the restaurant’s license,” the statement said.

The restaurant quickly filled up after it opened Sunday, with customers at all the tables and on a patio, and forming a line outside the door. Owner April Arellano has not responded to multiple requests for comment from The Denver Post, but said on her Facebook page that she “would go out of business if I don’t do something,” and said “if I lose the business at least I am fighting.”

The health department received four complaints about the restaurant, a spokeswoman said.

Update: Gov. Jared Polis’ administration has also suspended the restaurant’s license indefinitely.

I know they exist because my neighbor insisted for 6 years that Obama had built thousands of them all over the country. She never could tell me who was going to be sent to them but it seemed to have something to do with gun owners.

It is amazing that in all that time the government never used all those FEMA Camps. Must mean there is a huge purge coming. I hear it will be for people who refuse to have the COVID-19 vaccine, when it becomes available. I believe the vaccine is actually a chip that allows the government to track you. People who resist will have all their possessions and property confiscated, then sent to a FEMA Camp.

I don't know the source for this information, but it is my understanding that it is a credible one! Yet another excuse.......er reason to stockpile guns and ammunition.

In all seriousness though, the person who said this stuff used to be a very rational, intelligent man. The conspiracy theories are almost as contagious as COVID-19 and just as dangerous.

Indeed, they better hope nobody dies from their little experiment. I can easily imagine the very valid legal arguments for gross negligence resulting in death.
