The time has flown by at a snails pace

It is hard to believe but the NBA shutdown was 2 months ago last night.

On that single evening we learned of the NBA closing up shop and Tom Hanks being diagnosed. That seemed to be a real tipping point where shit got real very quickly. Within a matter of days, things were shutting down everywhere.

On one hand, it seems like that was years ago.

On the other hand, it seems like time is flying by.

It is just indicative of the warped sense of reality that this thing has put me in.

Just weird.

I wake up in the morning, do a few routine things, then suddenly it’s bedtime. Perhaps it’s because I’m not used to preparing three meals a day, usually cooked in some manner, then the clean up. And I seldom before made myself take a daily 2 mile walk to keep my lungs expanded and heart exercised. That and all the daily routine stuff... and the day is over. And I’ve still managed to watch several dozen new tv series or films and read a whole slew of audible books while putting together six enormous and difficult jigsaw puzzles.

Wow, no wonder I’m tired. I used to just go to work, eat out, and fall asleep in front of the tv with a bottle of wine.

Today there are 253.

We're almost 20% closer to the potential end of our nightmare than we were that fateful evening.

And we're only 176 days from the election.

Not nearly fast enough, but time is progressing. Hard to keep focused on that within our warped sense of reality but in some moments it's a comforting thought.
