1. Actually, the view in some quarters is

that Trump sent them after Burr because Burr was insufficiently loyal. Two pieces of evidence support this theory:

1) Burr was Chair of the Intelligence Committee that issued a report contradicting Trump's claim the Russian's were innocent of interfering in the 2016 Election.

2) Georgia's Kelly Loeffler is guilty of the same offense, but does not have men in suits and search warrants seizing her phones. She however, is an unabashed Trump toady.
