Black Delivery Driver Held Against His Will in Gated Oklahoma City Community by White Homeowners..

https://www.facebook.com/tjmiller63/videos/10163890984630604/?t=95
A delivery driver in Oklahoma says a man refused to let him leave a gated community in Oklahoma City.

Travis Miller, a black man, was making a delivery in the Ashford Hills neighborhood of Oklahoma City when a man claiming to be part of the homeowners’ association blocked Miller’s exit from the community with a car and demanded to know why he was there, KFOR reported.Miller streamed his interaction with the man to Facebook.
Video of the incident shows a white car parked nose-to-nose with Miller’s truck, preventing him from driving forward. In the video, Miller repeatedly asks the man — who is out of the car and on his cellphone — to move out of the way.

“I asked you one question,” the man says in the video.“And it’s none of your business,” Miller responds.

The man, who says his name is David Stewart, proceeds to tell Miller that it is his business because he’s part of the homeowners’ association and that Miller is on a private street, according to the video.“Apparently you need a gate code to get in here, right?” Miller replies in the video. “So how did I get in here?”

The man asks, again, where Miller is going and Miller responds that he’s “going out,” asking the man to move his vehicle.“All you have to do is just tell me where you’re going,” the man is heard saying.“I don’t have to tell you s---,” Miller responds in the video.

Eventually, the man gets back in his car where he sits for several minutes before another man joins him and they approach Miller’s truck, the video shows. The second man questions Miller, suggesting that perhaps Miller took a wrong turn into the neighborhood, according to the video. “How do I make a wrong turn into a gated neighborhood?” Miller asks. “I need to have a gate code in order to get in, right? That’s common sense, right?”

The second man can be heard asking how Miller got a gate code and Miller responds that it’s none of the man’s business, according to the video. Later, Miller told KFOR that he didn’t want to give out the customer’s personal information, the outlet reported.

The second man tells Miller that the police are coming and the two men stand outside the white car for several minutes. Eventually, the first man moves the white car out of Miller’s way, the video shows. “I guess they must have contacted the customer and the customer came around and they spoke for a minute and he moved out the way,” Miller is heard saying in the video.

Exactly. If the HOA doesn't rein these *holes in, just arrange to dump deliveries at the gate... Hekate May 2020 #10

This is 2020. You do not own anyone. You do not have a right to stop and question black people just fucking because.
I am so sick of this shit.

What other facility has gates and guards? Prisons! Always say that they are better for the rest of us, if major shit goes down, we just block the entrances and the 80% Republican population is locked in.

I also went years getting in using the following names:

Ted Bundy
Jeffrey Dahmer
Richard Ramirez - never thought that one would pass in Southern Cal!
John Wayne Gacy - again, I thought they would at least question the name
Orenthal James Simpson - Hell once Ramirez and Gacy got through I figured this one would pass, it did.
I pondered, Ripper, Jack but never had the guts. Figured they would ask again and I would have to go with Ripper,.... Jack The and I knew I would bust up laughing.

Of course I am a middle aged white man.

Even living in the OC my street if 50/50. In 2008 I went over the top, 8 foot Frankenstein, would inflate and held an Obama/Biden 2008 sign. Huge inflatable Biker wearing a Californians for Obama t-shirt. Thought for sure I would get egged, just got a few snide comments but a bigger number of kudos.

We have an HOA but that was because the neighborhood was established before any zoning was done. Ours are mostly setbacks and height restrictions and keeping it residential. The ones with a lot of rules can be horrible. One such in the area, has nightly patrols with a woman carrying her clipboard with a checklist for each house.

But I wouldn't want to take a chance after making a considerable investment. The makeup of the board could change dramatically for the worse even though it is a democratic process in theory and the best anyone could do would be to learn to live with it until future voting smooths things out or sell at a loss.
