(18,402 posts)Either bemoaning that Biden isnt getting media attention, or suggesting things he should be doing (which he is pretty much already doing).
Its pretty clear that nobody is actually paying attention or watching anything. But, you know, Tiger King.

(7,220 posts)Can we please get excited about this!? For God's sake, a competent, honest man is running for POTUS, and never have we needed his compassion more than right now.
And Abrams! I am SO DAMNED EXCITED to have not just any woman of color, but this one in particular, as a potential running mate. Talk about someone who can turn lemons into lemonade. Talk about someone who's ready. Talk about someone who will fire up everyone from liberal white suburban soccer moms to disenfranchised minorities, to disappointed women who really waned Warren or Klobuchar to win the nomination. It's also extremely helpful to have a woman on the ticket to help get through this Tara Reade horseshit.
Lock him up.

(1,215 posts)I had no interest in either one. I like Abrams as a VP but not so sure about her if something should happen to Biden. I would rather see Warren or Harris or Demings.

(14 posts)selects Abrams we are likely lost. It was clearly a trial run to get feedback. I don't particularly care for such blatant manipulation. The VP selection should necessarily be viewed as ripe for the Oval Office in short order. Sorry to say that appearance matters for most people before any following impressions are made. This ticket has to be acceptable and attractive to a wide array of voters, not just the usual players.

(58,785 posts)I'll help you be less disappointed in yourself: I watched the 10 p.m. show. Biden of course did well, and I liked that he pointed out that young voters could own this election.
Abrams did well, and I could see her as an appointee in the Biden administration. I'm with Glenda from Ohio, who wanted to know why she wasn't willing to run for the senate to get control away from the Republicans but would accept the (imo very unlikely) role of VP. It's a very on point question she's rightfully been asked a lot.
I voted gladly for Abrams for governor, but I really don't understand how she put her own wishes ahead of duty in a time of grave national emergency. Of course she could have used the national spotlight on her campaign to fight for voting rights, could have lead from the front, and then if she won of course as a powerful U.S. senator, and also contemporaneously with. No one else here in GA was as well positioned as Abrams this time. And she refused. Like Glenda, that refusal to serve is at the front of my mind every time I see her.
