Arizona attorney general actively pursuing right-wing troll Jacob Wohl
Right-wing provocateur Jacob Wohl owes $43,000 in Arizona, and the state AG is prepared to come for him
ROGER SOLLENBERGER

The Arizona attorney general's office is actively pursuing collection efforts against right-wing social media provocateur Jacob Wohl, who has not made any payments toward nearly $38,000 in fines from a 2016 investment fraud ruling against him, Salon has learned.
A spokesperson for the Arizona Corporation Commission notified Salon about Wohl's delinquency in response to a Salon article last week.
"The Commission, through the Arizona Attorney General's Office, is actively pursuing collection efforts against Mr. Wohl," the spokesperson told Salon in an email.
"Mr. Wohl has not paid anything since the matter was sent to the Attorney General's Office for collections," the spokesperson wrote in an email. "Given his indictment last year, I would venture that any available funds are going to pay his criminal defense counsel."
The Commission said it retains the right to take further action against Wohl "if he violates any part of the order or if he commits additional actions that violate the Arizona Securities Act or the Investment Management Act."

In 2016 an Arizona man tipped off the Riverside County district attorney's fffice that Wohl and his business partner, Matt Johnson, 30, had swindled him out of $75,000 he invested through Wohl Capital Investment Group. The man killed himself shortly afterward, according to Wohl's arrest warrant.

Questions directed to a phone number associated with a number of Wohl's ventures and email addresses were met with derision.

They're just up to 2016 in his crime catalog. I'd like to see him busted for his recent shenanigans.

This little twerp has committed so many crimes that classrooms should make him a case study in white privilege for the simple fact that he's not currently behind bars.

How can a person get away with paying people to make false defamatory accusations against innocent people?
There ought to be a law.

The documents closely match descriptions of those in complaints against Wohl and offer insight to how he misled investors.

These Documents Are a Likely Source of Jacob Wohls Legal Troubles
By Jared Holt | May 18, 2020 1:24 pm
As right-wing political operative Jacob Wohl faces legal action yet againthis time by Arizonas attorney generalRight Wing Watch has exclusively obtained copies of documents we believe to be the source of many of Wohls legal troubles.
Roger Sollenberger reported in Salon Friday that the Arizona attorney general is actively pursuing collection efforts against Wohl, who failed to make any payments toward the nearly $38,000 the Arizona Corporation Commission ordered he pay in fines for misleading investors.
Before Wohl gained national notoriety for engaging in dubious smear campaigns against Trump opponents and making outlandish false claims, Wohl earned notoriety as a teenage hedge fund manager and engaged in business practices that landed him in hot water with regulators. In 2017, the National Futures Association issued a lifetime ban against Wohl, barring him from futures trading, after Wohl refused to cooperate with an NFA exampination spawning from press coverage of Wohls claimed financial activities and an investor complaint against his now-defunct company, Nex Capital Management. In its 2016 complaint against Wohl, NFA investigators refer to marketing documents, the details of which closely match those of the documents obtained by RWW.
Received by a potential investor in February 2016 and provided to RWW by a trusted intermediary source on the condition of anonymity, the self-declared privileged and strictly confidential pitch materials for Wohls now-defunct hedge fund contain numerous discrepancies, some of which RWW can report for the first time. RWW believes these materials, which can be found at the end of this article, are the source of many of Wohls legal troubles.
