"SNIP.....
Mike Bloomberg is plotting a massive spending blitz to back Joe Bidens quest for the White House, CNBC reports.
The former New York mayor and his closest political advisors are discussing whether Bloombergs expenditure will include major donations to pro-Biden super PACs, Bidens joint fundraising effort with the Democratic National Committee, or another independent group.
Though its unclear how much Bloomberg will eventually spend, some of the people familiar with the matter noted that they anticipate Bloomberg to end up spending in excess of $250 million to support Biden
Any major financial support from Bloomberg backing Biden does not include what he could put toward assisting congressional Democrats.

(95,247 posts)The man is 'planning', not 'plotting'. This is not an instance of slight differences in the value of words within different branches of the languages, on the line of 'scheme', which in England or India would convey only a plan or program, not something underhand and nefarious, as the word does here. 'Plot' always conveys a sense of underhand and nefarious, and there is certainly nothing of either quality in Mr. Bloomberg's willingness to assist the Democratic Party, and facilitate the rescue of the United States from the cheap thug and his enablers.
Indeed, a person of more finely attuned sensibilities might wonder how it is a New York Jew 'plots' financing some political activity, while people like the DeVos family and the Menards family 'support' right wing causes and candidates....

(1,207 posts)Seriously. He went up the polls pretty fast with the barrage of commercials. Overtaking candidates that were much more likable and decent. In reality smarmy dude but the $ worked well for a time. Very snazzy and voluminous ads. High quality, well made ads, and made him look like a legit contender even though he was not.
This may put Biden up by more than 15-20 points by September.

(3,635 posts)They don't play around, and were the only ones to really go after Trump hard, as well as Bernie during the primaries, in a way that nobody else wanted to... ditto for the Lincoln Project guys.

(395 posts)I haven't been really impress with any other there ads by Biden's team and any source that wants to take down Trump is fine by me.
They should be making 30 sec online ads everyday and it would not be that hard given Trump's material. The more that rattle Trump the more attention it gets and so far nothing that Biden team produced is all that effective imo. They are often too long and unfocused.
