Everyone over the age of 65 should emulate the president of the United States and start taking hydroxychloroquine.
Republican Rep. Roger Marshall, an obstetrician who is running for Senate in Kansas, said he feels that using hydroxychloroquine as a preventive measure will minimize the risk or impact of the coronavirus. Mr. Marshall said he is taking it prophylactically himself, as are his parents, siblings and wife, The Wall Street Journal reported Monday.
I would encourage any person over the age of 65 or with an underlying medical condition to talk to their own physician about taking hydroxychloroquine and Im relieved President Trump is taking it, he said.

Fox News' Neil Cavuto reacted strongly Monday to President Trump's "stunning" disclosure that he is taking the antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine to prevent contracting coronavirus.
"The president has insisted that <hydroxychloroquine> has enormous benefits for patients either trying to prevent or <who> already have COVID-19," Cavuto said on "Your World". "The fact of the matter is, though, when the president said, 'What have you got to lose?' In a number of studies <of> those certainly vulnerable, the population have one thing to lose, their lives" ...
"The VA study, to which the president alluded, wasn't a loaded political one. It was a test on patients there and those who took it in a vulnerable population, including those with respiratory or other conditions. They died," Cavuto said. "I want to stress again. They died" ...
"If you are in a risky population here and you are taking this as a preventative treatment to ward off the virus, or in a worst case scenario, you are dealing with the virus and you are in this vulnerable population it will kill you," Cavuto warned. "I cannot stress enough. This will kill you" ...

(25,962 posts)before he gets someone killed. His medical license needs to be yanked yesterday. There is no excuse for such wild and irresponsible behavior. Yes, I know trump has been doing the same thing but trump isn't a doctor and he shouldn't be getting away with it either. Marshall should be toast for this, medical career and political career GONE for being so irresponsible with the welfare of the general public.

(63,221 posts)Right? Because that's what it looks like to me. The older you are, the worse the effect that this drug is going to have on you. Have a little pill, have a little Kool-aide. Have a nice long nap.
Don't worry about Social Security or Medicare. You won't be needing it. Thank you for your sacrifice.
