My sister is going down hill so very fast.
I got her near our parents.
I don't give a shit what happens to her asshole husband, but I want my sister to know she (and he) is taken care of.
I will surprise her this weekend. Covid be damned I am going to see my sister. I will mask up and glove up

(35,454 posts)is a cemetery plot good news, a hope killer?

(31,997 posts)she said she wished she could hug me in person
what she doesn't know is she will be near our parents
they have no money. I wanted to take this off her worry plate
she does have some small life insurance and her prick of a husband can deal with that. While she is alive I don't want her to worry.
Me.
(35,454 posts)Really brave of her IMHO

(90,656 posts)Maybe, just maybe, you might tell her sooner by phone. May your in-person visit be filled with love and light.

(11,735 posts)I am sure that it will comfort her to know that those arrangements have been made.
Protect yourself well. If possible get an N95 respirator mask and look for videos on how to properly fit it. A surgical mask on top might not be a bad idea either.

(2,231 posts)You are a good sister. If there is anything I know, it's that if you have a surprise for someone who is not well, give it to them right away. Worry is such a waste of time and feels heavy and hard. May she be light.
demtenjeep
(31,997 posts)she threw up all day yesterday and last night.
I'll talk to her tonight
We live 60 miles apart and because of the covid I haven't seen her in person since Christmas

but I can't just sit by and not do anything.
in our home town, the plots are not horribly expensive like where I live now.
When I was soooo sick you all helped me get back to right.
this is the least I can do for my sister who is more like my mommy
