Surly and Nasty today, Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany Holds a Briefing

Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany Holds a Briefing

My observations: She's sharp and really knows how to deflect.

Patterns:

• Questions about the president withholding federal funds to Michigan over "mail in voting" need to be directed toward the campaign.
• The presidential tweets represent "transparency".
• Michigan should be more grateful about all the good Trump has done and quit their whining.
• Dismissive to journalists, "I guess you weren't listening the first time I read the hydroxychloroquine report, so I'll just read it again."

Nasty, but effective at distraction and misdirection.

SERIOUSLY have to up our game, this election is gonna be NASTY, I wish I had the answers myself, but it's going to take a lot more than high-minded, lets-do-good-things-for-everybody-because-they'll-get-it-and-vote-for-us!

Unfortunatley there a huge population of people who LIKE "surly and nasty" and we have to peel some of them away from voting for president plump.

It's not the Trump re-election campaign threatening Michigan, it's President Trump. Answer the question, you smarmy little git.

Her answer is basically an admission that Trump is mingling his responsibilities with his sole concern of re-election. I hope her answer gets her into trouble with legal and constitutional experts.

12. It came up several times. There's the Campaign and there's the President, but just one Twitter acct.

Slippery bullshitter.

I think reporters need to work on their skills with this one.

If it's the president acting, he needs to answer for it, not the campaign.

Ask it the president stands by his nasty statements, like when he called Gov. Whitmer Governor Wit-less.

Call him on this shit.

It was the last question:

deflected actual question then flips through her binder to find talking points on Susan Rice's memo

16. Bizarre reference to Shakespeare, she had her Susan Rice attack notes and was going to use them.

She converted a question about one thing into a new topic just to attack Rice.

Shady.
