Ignoring reality
Not everyone believes we're in a crisis. Not everyone believes we're at danger. Not everyone believes in reality.
The Republican Party has made reality a flexible item. And Trump, as their "beloved leader," has turned reality into silly putty.
Put another way, Trump and his acolytes have turned reality into whatever they want it to be. And millions of Americans are buying the shit they're selling.
How did this happen? Easy. The vast majority of any population, anywhere, anytime, are politically naive, hopeful, and subject to any propaganda that is fed to them. But this isn't news. It's reality.
A population that watches Fox "news," listens to hate radio in their cars, and pulls up hate sites on their computers, is a population that is aiding in their own destruction. None of us can change this. Ignorance loves simplicity.
Hopefully, those who ignore reality are a minority. But history seems to prove otherwise. So what do we do to save ourselves and the rest of humanity? If I had the answer, you'd hear it right now.
Fortunately, "Dear Leader" is a loathsome man who is disliked by the majority of Americans. Whatever ideology is held by those who hold them, can't overcome the popularity factor. Trump is one of the worst pricks imaginable and a vast majority of Americans see it.
Hopefully, this will be enough to defeat all the tactics that Republicans use on a regular basis to steal elections. But I guess we'll have to wait 'til November to see.
