General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsOur local NBC station showed stats this morning that indicate the people hospitalized
in Oklahoma due to COVID 19 has gone up 25 percent in the past few days. A state with a crazy governor opened us back up again, and said wearing masks was an individual choice. I predict it will get even worse in the next few days.

(16,616 posts)These more local, state-specific reports are really valuable and helpful to try to figure out what's actually going on.
Texas and Arizona shot way up last week and then came way down, and I'm really wondering to what extent data is being withheld or manipulated.

It actually thrives on that ignorance.

(34,661 posts)up States will come about 14 days after the first day of opening. Just heard from our Rellie who is the Exec Chef at a Casino which opened last week, people got careless as hell yesterday, zero masks on customers at the Restaurants or Bar. He has his Kitchen Workers taking extra wash up breaks.
Just a matter of time when everything goes to hell. He has his employees take their breaks out of the Building in the Parking lot in their cars.

I always find casinos to be kind of sad places myself. People literally throwing their money away.

(12,264 posts)Plus the casinos are really plush and nice. This one looked like a machine shed full of slot machines once we got past the front entrance. We are not gamblers, in fact the only time we have been to Vegas was a forced layover once. We were there overnight so we decided to go see what all the fuss was about. It was just a nicer place to lose your money.

(38,359 posts)You see, he, your governor, thinks Trump knows what he is talking about.
Very hard to believe, ....But Trump is a complete fool, and a lot of people don't believe that,
and your governor is one of them. You, redstatebluegirl and I (Stuart G) would make far better Presidents of the U.S.A. than Donald Trump. We would also make better governors than your governor
