Not linking him here. Saw the title of his column today, something like "I'll tell you a secret: Latinos don't like Biden".
Is he still featured on the CNN website (as opposed to on-the-air)? My local newspaper features him, which led me to cancel my paid subscription several years ago, after my family and then I on my own *always* had a newspaper subscription.
It was a fad for the outlets to dig up "non-traditional" voices, meaning minority members who pushed viewpoints (wingnut) that went counter to their home group's consensus views (usually Democratic). Hence, NAVARRETTE's niche career.

(70,641 posts)I don't know how he got into Harvard, scholarship? But he checked out (flunked?) then went back, something about how he would confront Lib speakers and was out of step with other Mexican-Americans, finally finished and made his career move with a book slamming Harvard and excoriating "White Liberal males" who condescended to him.
During our George W. Shrub years of agony he was nothing if not an operative for Shrub, constantly claiming that Dems were hypocrites bamboozling minorities because Shrub had hired more Latinos (torture dude Alberto GONZALES and Linda CHAVEZ) than any Dem administration. All he did regarding the Democratic Party was to constantly give "advice" as to who our nominees should be and how Latinos should move into the Repuke party.
He himself has said that the California Latinos where he grew up called him a "turncoat" (vendido = sell-out).
So, no, I have puked the few columns of his I've read, but I *KNOW* he's not a fence sitter.
