Just got home from the hospital.

Feeling great and good to know that 3 test for CV-19 came back negative. Looks like a combination of a virus and kidney stones. Some scary stuff for a couple of days.

Only good part was being able to stay on DU the whole time.
Love you folks.

With the coronavirus lurking, any health issue is suspect, as it should be. Glad you do not have it, and condolences on having kidney stones. They are very painful.

Feel better soon.

BTW, have you tried taking Potassium Citrate for your kidney stones? It helps to dissolve the stones, making them more passable and can actually dissolve the whole stone, depending on size. It's over-the-counter and inexpensive - take 2-3 daily. It's saved me a lot of pain!

55. Kidney Stones.

Most pain I've ever suffered in my entire life (I'm 70). X-rays and an MRI showed my left kidney almost completely plugged with a 'staghorn' calculi. I had a PCNL (Percutaneous nephrolithotripsy), basically an incision in the back, inserting a tube into the kidney, then using a laser to break up the calculi and removing the pieces through the tube in the kidney. Long story short, it was not one large calculi, it was over 100 smaller calculi that had arranged itself to look like a staghorn. A one hour operation turned into a six hour operation until they were all removed.

I've had kidney stone problems since I turned around 50. Since the PCNL I haven't had any problems (knock on wood) due to changes in diet and a secret home remedy that seems to have worked like a charm.

Kidney stones are very painful, and I understand your concern when you were first admitted. I'm very glad you're home from the hospital and they found the problems making you so ill. Stay healthy, my friend.

Indicating possible infection. Had symptoms of both virus and kidney infection due to kidney stone. Not knowing which they started antibiotics. Also because of fever.

is concerning right now, since it means somewhere your exposure precautions let something slip through, even though it mercifully wasn't "the bad one." Stay safe!
