against GLBT. That would be violating the religious freedom of others. If someone can keep me out of a store because the owner's religion says so, then people can certainly be kept out for health violations.

Once asked to leave, if they don't they can be charged with trespass. In my state, if they also happen to be armed it is felony trespass.

These right wingers who are so worried about their rights should respect the rights of private property owners.

They don't consider that other people have freedom too. It's a he'll of a way to go through life.

Everytime you hear a deplorable squawk “freedom”, substitute the word with “selfish or selfishness”. Then the squawk becomes a truthful statement.

Redhat: "My rights uber alles."

You know, I went through a "I'm an American, I have rights, I can do whatever/say whatever/go wherever I want" phase. WHEN I WAS TWELVE.

It took getting the shit smacked out of me a few times--not spanking or anything like that, because my parents didn't care, and my schools doled out corporal punishment to everyone just to make trouble go quiet; I'm talking about getting socked in the face/gut by the people I was infringing upon--before I started thinking about others.

About a small, local hardware store stopping him at the door because he didnt have on a mask. More power to them! I told him "their store, their rules!" He didnt like it but eventually agreed after admitting the owners are fairly elderly, thus more susceptible.

I never could see any sanity in that outrage when a business owner refused to make a wedding cake (a fukin' wedding cake!) for a gay wedding . . .

The guy was running his own business, not a public service like water, electricity, police protection and so on . . .

Hell - if I'm selling a car and I think the guy is gonna ruin it or something - I can refuse to sell, right?

Enlighten me

W

ps: Wearing a mask protects you and others from the virus, and also lets other people know you care about their health too . . . .

I will admit to pulling it down when nobody else is around so I can breathe. However, once I get out of their doors into the parking lot, my face covering comes off.

Certainly if my husband of 45 years goes shopping with me, I am not going to maintain a 6 foot distance from him. Kind of STUPID don't you think when we live together and sleep in same bed? Do we need to show our Marriage License also to be together in a store? Same for parent/s shopping together with their children.
