If Trump says everything is getting back to normal and he wants to re-open the states - why the heck then are these guys being let out of prison.

Wouldn't normal be that they stay in prison?

Why is it that Trump always has things work both ways?

1. I think there have been a lot of discussions

about releasing many prisoners early. Not just temporarily. At least if prisoners like them get to serve their time from home it saves the state a lot of money for each one.

It’s actually a pretty good time for prison reform.

What's to prevent Manafort from getting in touch with his old contacts in Russia and the Ukraine?

What's to prevent Trump from trying to cut a deal with Cohen to prevent him from writing his book or if he does - to keep certain things from reaching the public?

If everything is getting back to normal - then they should be in prison. Once a vaccine is approved - they should be put back in prison to serve out their time.

If it were you or I in prison - we wouldn't be let out to serve our time at home. They are getting special treatment and it's wrong.
