Incel suspect in Arizona shooting wanted to target couples, prosecutor says

The 20-year-old suspect in a shooting at a Glendale, Arizona, entertainment district considered himself an involuntary celibate, or "incel," and was targeting couples, a prosecutor said Thursday.

Armando Hernandez Jr. "had the purpose of taking out his expressed anger at society, the feeling that he has been bullied, the feeling that women didn't want him," Maricopa County prosecutor Edward Leiter said at Hernandez's first court appearance.

In an interview with investigators, Hernandez "specifically said that he was targeting couples," the prosecutor said. Two of the individuals who were gunshot victims appeared to have been a couple, the prosecutor said.

Three people were injured in the Wednesday shooting, one of whom -- a 19-year-old man -- remains in critical condition after suffering life threatening injuries, Glendale police spokesman Sgt. Randy Stewart told reporters.

I was a 17 - 20 year old once.
I didn't descend into hatred because every girl my age wasn't prepared to jump my bones.
It's call reality.
Now, when reality differs from somebody's vision of life, it's a source of rage.
Frustration? Got ya!

Jealousy of more popular guys? You & a billion other guys your age over time.
But, rage over not getting any? Bizarre.

"Queer Eye for the Incel guy?" A group of non-incel "peers", and a couple "experts", attempt to get their "incel""friends", to actually talk to a real girl!

6. Problem is most Incels I've observed over the years don't want to change.

They tend to live in that twilight zone of not wanting to "change" and knowing they can't be princes in the fantasy land they've built for themselves. The are also tend to be addicted to their victimhood, their sense of privileged outrage.
Of course, that leaves them prey for trolls, sadists, and nihilists who feed on chaos and other people's pain.

Heterosexual mysoginy is one of those things that needs to be scorned, knocked down, dragged through town, and dug out by the roots - at regular intervals, as maintenance.
