WASHINGTON Its a feel-good story that President Trumps press secretaries have relished over the years: the quarterly announcement of which government agency Mr. Trump has selected to be the lucky recipient of his salary, an easy way to show the president sticking to his 2016 campaign pledge to forgo his $400,000 salary and donate it.
In the past, the $100,000 check from Mr. Trump has been made out to the Small Business Administration initiative to help veteran entrepreneurs, to the Office of the Surgeon General to fight the opioid epidemic, and to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, among other places.
But on Friday, Kayleigh McEnany, the White House press secretary, did not just reveal that the president was sending his salary to the Department of Health and Human Services to help support the efforts being undertaken to confront, contain and combat the coronavirus.
She also displayed the presidents private bank account and routing numbers.

Btw - those false eyelashes were what I noticed first. And the really short fingernails - surprising considering how heavy her makeup is. I'd expect longer and probably bright red lacquered nails. Wonder if she bites 'em?

(17,857 posts)to give your salary back (or be a $1/yr man). I want people that need their government salaries representing me (you know - normal folks). It is a nice gesture to be charitable, but it really shouldn't be considered over those who aren't able to make such a gesture.
I also have some kooky ideas about living arrangements in Washington. I think everyone of our Senators and Representatives should be required to live in dorms (two person to a room and as much as possible of different parties). They should only spend three nights/week in Washington. The rest of the time at their permanent home in their state or Congressional district (I know this would be more difficult for west coasters and those in Alaska and Hawaii). The families stay home.

(18,903 posts)he takes full advantage of the tax deduction. He's giving up $400,000 a year in pay, and stealing $40 million from the taxpayers, if not more. Trump doesn't have a charitable bone in his morbidly obese body.

(6,715 posts)Not that there's be anything wrong with that.
It's not the first time I noticed it either.
First time was when she was carrying their pandemic plan folders to the helicopter and trying to show off how they reinvented the wheel on that.
Seems like possible nicotine stains on her fingers too.

(1,831 posts)That check is dated 4/21. Last I time I looked, today is 5/22.
- If the check was really printed on 4/21, why do they still have it?
- If the check was printed recently, why was it backdated?
And ... who prints out actual paper checks anymore?

The Mango-Menace, and this Harvard-educated dolt, thinks the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Health - has its own damn bank account? Are you shitting me????
Agencies of the U.S. government DO NOT have their own damn blank accounts!! The check, if it was real, should have been made payable to U.S. Treasury. Just like the checks all of us write when we have to pay the government, i.e., federal taxes.
This is another fraud by the Great Orange Grifter.
