(10,155 posts)Early during the Trump administration Steve Bannon admitted their cabinet picks would be aimed at the "deconstruction of the administrative state, meaning weakening regulatory agencies and other bureaucratic entities. At the time some believed Trump's grand vision was to reform government, but as it turns out he (and Putin) was only interested in the deconstruction part.

(32,017 posts)Every Federal administrative agency was created by Congress (the voice of We, the People, of the United States) to perform a specific mission. Any President who wants to destroy the administrative state is seeking to destroy the will of the people as expressed through their Congress.
Disgusting, and highly authoritarianfascist, ultimately.
