Trump Republicans do not believe in objective truth

To them, there's no such thing as unbiased, objective truth. There's only biased truth which can be liberal or conservative.

So, when dealing with this pandemic and having to face truly objective truths, i.e. number of infected, number of deaths, availability of tests and PPE, overwhelming our hospitals, the number of unemployed, etc., Trump Republicans focus on creating their own narrative of the truth instead of dealing with the facts head on.

From day one, Trump has searched for any narrative that would paint him in a favorable light. Look at how China went from being a friend to a foe in a matter of weeks. Or the pitiful attempt to change the narrative entirely by going after Obama with "Obamagate!".

It's impossible to co-govern a nation of 328 million party with an opposing party that simply does not believe in objective truths.

That because everyone lies and manipulates facts that there is no way to ascertain what is true. That there is no truth. This gives a tyrant freedom from constraint based on truth.

4. Agreed. I ordered some carpet squares yesterday for our home workouts and called the company

which happened to be located in in Arizona. I am in NY. We wound up speaking for almost 20 minutes and in that time I found out this rep did not believe COVID was that much different than the flu. I asked why we had an additional 100,000 dead in two months over what we had last year or 2 years ago or 10, acknowledging that the typical flu does result in 60-70,000 dead per year. She had no answer. I stated that we may be entitled to our own opinions but not our won facts. We did end our conversation politely, and I was surprised she said she did not watch much news when I said she should limit her Fox viewing.
