1. Righteous. Dangerous. But righteous. And you know, we watched a white cop murder a black man.

5. So do you want more people (largely black) to be thrown in jail?

It's not about the windshield. It's about not giving them any excuses to lock you up (or worse).

The whole world saw it. Trashing police cars will not increase the possibility that the murderers will be brought to justice. It will result in more blacks being thrown into jail, or worse.

8. I agree with you except to say that they do not need excuses. They never have. "Hurry up and

sprinkle some crack on him and let's get outta here" became an American cultural meme for a very good reason, and well before the internet made memes pervasive. The police in this country abuse their power as a matter of course, every single day, and almost entirely without shame. They abuse their power against white people, but not to the degree that they do against minorities.

It is not the exception. It's the rule.

And it has to change.

I wonder what percentage of the people out there are planning to vote in November? Voting forces out hostile politicians, it gets police Cheifs that drive better relations with all communities and come down hard on cops that show even a hint of roguishness. What bursting out windows will get a person is arrested and a record, a record that will then make life more difficult.

and I'd prefer that those protesters remain safe.
But even without watching the video of the event and just seeing the picture of that cop kneeing a handcuffed man till he died, it's almost impossible not to get angry about this. The first steps were made with the firing of these officers but I think only actual charges might cool the situation down.
