'Why are you not burying him?': Trump allies fret over rising Biden threat

Some of President Donald Trump‘s political allies and donors are starting to get antsy.

With only five months until the November general election, several Trump advisers, campaign veterans and prominent Republicans see the Trump campaign’s efforts to define and damage former vice president Joe Biden falling short.

These Trump supporters worry the campaign’s myriad lines of attack on Biden this spring — from his age to his work with China as vice president to the Obama economic record — are failing to dent the presumptive Democratic nominee. Recent polling shows Trump trailing Biden in key swing states such as Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, with the Republican control of the Senate increasingly up for grabs due to a depressed economy and nationwide angst about the coronavirus pandemic.

The poor results from the all-over-the-map approach is spurring consternation across the field of Republican advisers, donors and conservative groups who want the Trump campaign to dramatically ramp up its efforts to tear down and pigeonhole Biden — much the way former president Barack Obama cast Mitt Romney as a plutocrat during the 2012 campaign, a framing from which Romney was never able to escape.

1. Gee whiz, I don't know. Maybe because Biden has a reputation for being a compassionate,

straight-shooter type of guy that the gop hasn't tried to demonize for the last 30+ years? And now, all of these attacks on his character just look like shallow partisan political hit jobs that are missing the mark.

Donald J Trump and the entire Republican party reek of desperation and flop sweat.

2. Betcha it's because Trump's campaign handlers are too busy. . .

. . .ripping him off and siphoning his $$$ toward their own private potfolios.

3. Ferraris are expensive. I was thinking about this last night, and wondered if

it's because they know Trump is going to lose, so why waste the good campaign money on expensive attack ads when they can line their pockets instead?

Let the PACs run the ads.

Oh, sure, there are many, many expenditures, some even disguised as campaign related.

As I said, Ferraris are expensive, ya know.

Of course, I could be wrong. Who knows?

Also, too, the campaign has been footing Trump's costly legal bills, of which there are many.

4. no political baggage worth attacking Biden with and why attempts look and are lame as well

as useless. Any why trump and putin fear a Biden nomination.

5. Biden has Teflon. When you( meaning Trump and Co.) commit

high crimes and treason with another country (Russia) in order to smear a candidate and you end up being impeached yourself and the candidate bounces back and unifies the opposition party (Democratic), that candidate is now smear-proof.
