https://nypost.com/2010/05/23/why-losers-have-delusions-of-grandeur/I was thinking of how Douglas MacArthur returned to a hero’s welcome after Truman fires him, and how initially public opinion was overwhelmingly on his side. Truman just ignored him and MacArthur started holding court with the press at some ritzy hotel. Every day he’d come out and spout some BS till everyone realized he was delusional. I was trying to find some examples to compare with Delusional Donny but ran into this article about Kruger-Dunning, which is often cited as trumps state of mind. It’s from the NY Post but is an opinion piece.
