I think this is a murder plot.
It wasn't just one cop who killed George Floyd.
Why are these cops still walking around?
They need to be arrested NOW.

(545 posts)I'm pretty sure it was an onlooker telling him to get up and get in the car. He also said something else about not giving the cops trouble which made me realize it was a bystander, not a cop, saying it.

(9,002 posts)I'm sure there was some run-up to the killing, some back story, but I can't imagine any run-up would justify how they treated this guy.

(146,254 posts)For those who are confused, here's something to try:
1. Lie down on the floor on your stomach.
2. Put your hands behind your back and clasp them together.
3. Now, stand up without unclasping your hands.
Can't do it, can you? Very few people can.
Once a person is handcuffed, with hands behind their back and put into a prone position, that person is no longer able to resist. That is why it is done.
Most people have never been handcuffed, so they don't understand just how helpless you are with your hands behind your back and in cuffs.

(9,696 posts)When in pain, or expecting pain, a person will flinch or try to protect their body, or try to escape the pain. That is a normal physical response. To expect someone who is being physically harmed to take the pain without reacting to that pain is not realistic. It's a trap the cops have created, they know very well what they are doing.

(22,911 posts)There is NO ACCEPTABLE reason for arrests to not now be made in this case. An arrested person is still legally presumed to be innocent. The evidence known supports arresting those officers. It does not negate their constitutional rights to do so. It insults our system of justice to not at least take that first step under these radical circumstances.
