3. I recognize that lack of expression

My mom used to zone out - especially heading towards the end of her battle with Alzheimer's. One day she called to chastise me for refusing to take her to Christmas Eve services. Problem was, it wasn't Christmas Eve. She was actually in some altered state, something like sleepwalking. Later she called and asked me about it. Some part of her brain remembered. She once called both me and my sister, accusing us of stealing from her. We could tell from the tone of her voice that she wasn't consciously making that call.

Another time my brother called me, late at night, to come by because she was refusing to take her medications and he needed reinforcements. During the several hours I spent trying to convince her to take the pills, it was again obvious she wasn't really functioning in a conscious state. One of those signs was her totally dead eye lack of contact. She might have been looking at me, but she wasn't really processing that she was seeing me.

I am beyond convinced that trump* is suffering from a declining state of cognitive abilities, due to some form of dementia.

younger it is much worse when they age and get dementia. He has always been evil, dementia has made him much worse.
