Not looking good for Klobuchar as VP pick. Minn. murder brings back...

her leniency on bad cops.

"During her presidential campaign, Klobuchar faced deep skepticism from many Black voters, in part because of her record in Hennepin County. “As a prosecutor in heavily white Minnesota, Amy Klobuchar declined to go after police involved in fatal encounters with black men,” read the headline of a Washington Post article in March 2019 that examined her record on criminal justice."

3. Regardless, she didn't really bring much to the ticket.

She's been a pretty effective senator (she's one of mine), but she doesn't have an especially strong following among PoC, and Biden is pretty strong in the midwest anyhow. I'd rather keep her where she is. There are others who would be stronger choices, like Harris or Rice.

9. Agree, I think she might have been in more serious consideration if a non white man

was the nominee .

But the type that she would appeal to are the ones Biden already does well with .

While this is true with others like non white candidates, in those cases there is the issue of turnout which could make a difference in close races.

5. As far as political mistakes go, it is looking like it would match McCain choosing Palin

This is only going to get uglier and uglier. This murderous cop's record is a shit-show, Klobuchar is connected to one of his many non-prosecutions and will be made the avatar for all of them in the corporate media's narrative. Plus there will be more protests, more violence, possibly/probably even more deaths.

Between the Trump campaign, Russian intelligence, other (Chinese, North Korean, Iranian, Saudi, Isreali) intelligence agencies with widely different end goals but similar proximate means, trolls, bot armies there will be a flood of social media manipulation with these events as their topic.

Willingly adding all that baggage to your campaign for marginal up-side would be a huge blunder.

But then again it is over for her because people refuse to look further into things.
