CA EDD: New unemployment benefits arrive
OK, I was freaking out because I certified for benefits Sunday, nothing came though until today when I saw that “no benefits were paid” for my latest claim. At the same time, I notice my weekly benefit went from $214 to $450. Huh?
What happened? Apparently, CA has entered into a new phase providing benefits for the unemployed. It’s actually a good thing, but I heard nothing about it.
