(13 posts)on the beach at the Cape (Alan Sheppard) and today's using my own PC at home. Was working as a Jr. Mathematician for RCA at the time. My how times have changed!

I watched until they hit separated orbit.
The pictures were awesome! Everything so crisp & clear!
That scene of the 2nd stage drifting away was cool.
And the first stage landing on the drone ship! Impressive.

(6,564 posts)And will be easy enough to see at magnitude 0.9 (Polaris is a bit brighter at mag 2). Max altitude from my location will be a fairly low 34 degrees, but if there's no gunk near the horizon it should be an easy grab. Then about 10 minutes later the ISS will drift over. Going to be a great night!
