George Floyd's brother tears up discussing condolence phone call from Trump: 'It hurt me'

Sounds like it didn’t help much.

Snip: “It was so fast,” Floyd replied.

“He didn’t give me an opportunity to even speak. It was hard, I was trying to talk to him, but he just kept like pushing me off, like ‘I don’t want to hear what you’re talking about.’ And I just told him I want justice. I said that I couldn’t believe they committed a modern-day lynching.”

to the widow of the soldier who was killed in Niger? She was so upset by the conversation that she was in tears because Fatso said something about "it was what he signed up for." He has all the sensitivity of a toilet seat.

"Trump" and "condolences" go together about as well as "ground glass" and "baby food." Just, no! Even the attempt is poison.

was one of my original heartbreak. He didn’t know his full name, and told her he knew what he signed up for. The whole time she was 8 months pregnant.

Broke my heart, and I gave her some funding on her PayPal account. It isn’t much, but I felt so sorry for her.

No doubt trump's arrogance would not surprise us, but it would have been interesting to see how the public at large would feel.

If it isn't about him and how great he is, then he just isn't interested. I wouldn't accept a call from Trump except to attack him for being a racist asshole.

had all the empathy of a scolded brat kid forced by his father to stand on a neighbor's porch to apologize. Did he even bother to tun off Faux News in the room before dialing?

...to be able to congratulate himself later that he had been in touch with the family.

That is the only reason and he probably resented calling at all.

. . .while Trump had to be cajoled into doing so.

Biden apparently spoke with the family - Trump spoke down to the family.
Big difference.
