(115,673 posts)1. It appears that two of the three are no longer in Minnesota.
Tou Thao, videotaped watching as Chauvin continued to press on Floyds neck with his knee, has left Minnesota, his lawyer confirmed Friday. Criminal defense attorney Robert Paule said Thao is safely elsewhere and that he couldnt comment further.
J Alexander Kueng, one of the two first officers at the scene who helped pin Floyd down, is believed to be staying with family in Minneapolis. Thomas K. Lane has left and didnt tell anyone where he was going, a relative said Friday.

If this is true, they might have to be extradited from other states even if they are charged. Obviously they should have been arrested before they had a chance to leave town. If Kueng is still in town they can bust him - and maybe they could use the same technique that's often used against multiple defendants - the first one arrested rolls on the others in the hope of getting a better deal.

They failed the people they serve and instead served themselves just because they could.
