Take a GOOD LOOK, Republicans
The people you see marching in the streets are WE, the American people.
We are the black Americans who are fed up with being treated as second-class citizens in a country where we can be arrested, imprisoned, and even murdered without consequence. And we are the white Americans who stand in unity with them.
We are the mothers who are fed up with our school-aged children needing to be taught how to survive a school shooting, instead of the government dealing with gun control.
We are the farmers who lost our family farms due to Trump’s tariff war.
We are the working poor who have lost our food stamps and other assistance we need to survive.
We are the middle-class who pay our fair share of taxes, as we watch multi-billion dollar corporations pay none.
We are those with pre-existing conditions who live in fear that the GOP will succeed in barring us from having health insurance. We are the healthy who live in fear of bankruptcy, should we become sick.
We are the people who have lost over 100,000 fellow citizens due to the incompetence of a deranged, self-serving idiot – and the party that continues to enable his madness.
We are the people whose health is at risk due to the overturning of laws that protect the water we drink and the air we breathe.
We are the people who know this “pResident” is a corrupt traitor who publicly sided with Putin against his own country, who has broken the law more times than can be counted, who has never spent a day in the WH without causing yet another scandal over the corrupt people he has appointed to positions of power.
We are the people who have had enough.
For every person you see protesting today, each one represent tens of thousands who would march at their sides, were it not for the impossibility of doing so due to geographical distance from the marches, or other impediments.
We are pissed-off to the max – and what we have heard thus far from the Republican party is that the sick and the elderly vulnerable to Covid-19 are ‘expendable’, that only ‘lazy people’ are refusing to risk their lives to go back to work, that after giving billions in tax-breaks to the wealthy, there just ‘isn’t enough money’ to keep everyone else financially afloat, that CEOs of failing companies deserve million-dollar payouts while the workers that generated their profits deserve nothing.
Look at the faces of those protestors, Republicans. They are black, white, Asian, Native American, Hispanic. They are Christians, Muslims, Jews. They are native-born and immigrants. They ARE the American people – the same people who will go to the polls in November and rid themselves of Republican senators, congressmen, governors – and every other GOP asshole who has enabled the destruction of our democracy by protecting the traitor who sits in the Oval Office.
There is SO MUCH anger to go around - and it's not confined to a 'bunch of 'out-of-control black folks' refusing to 'know their place'.
Take a GOOD LOOK at those protestors, GOP. THEY are the face of your "pResident's" ultimate downfall, AND YOURS as well.
