Just thinking of the other victims of this virus...
I am lucky that I can visit with my 7 year old granddaughter and my son but I can't get too close to them and I certainly can't hug them. That depresses me and makes me very sad because, at my age, I don't have any time to waste. BUT, I am one hell of a lot better off than the hundreds of thousands of seniors who have been prisoners in nursing homes and senior living facilities and sometimes in their own homes who have been cut off from enjoying the physical presence of their families and friends. They sit and wait for the leadership (questionable) of this country to get its act together
It has also saddens me to watch my little granddaughter try to keep her chin up when she hasn't been able to see her friends in almost 4 months and has struggled with learning from a tablet rather than from a real life teacher in a classroom. There has been no leadership from the White House or from that harridan who supposedly runs the Department of Education to help find a safe path back to school for these kids.
So we've got these seniors quietly waiting and trying to hold on until they can embrace their children again and these children desperate to get their lives back.
And the Super Spreader in Chief is in South Dakota tonight lobbying to get his bust chiseled on Mt. Rushmore.
