With about a hundred days to go before the election, now’s not the time to feed into Donald Trump’s plans of becoming the world’s worst dictator. He needs us to protest so he can send in his goons. He needs us to rile up his base. He needs us to be the cause of the unrest that he believes will necessitate his remaining in office. He’s playing us, and we’re falling for it.

We need to be resilient. We need to keep our anger in check until after the election, because by doing so, we will remove the paper from the fires that he’s trying to ignite.

Yes, there are many reasons to protest, but at this point in the game, I believe that the best damper on Trump is not falling for his lure - not giving him the civil unrest that Putin told him to unleash. Our community, community leaders, Democratic people of influence need to be on social media, television, and any open public forum to plead with our side to resist his trap until after the election.

If we can show restraint, with any kind of luck he will be removed from office, along with his sycophants and will be tried for all of the crimes and corruption they have inflicted on we, the people.

And have a million person assembly on the Washington mall. We can’t be lured into giving the orange Nazi any excuse to stir up his “base”. Discretion is the better part of valor. I totally respect and admire those protestors, and wish that I could be with them in some way, but we have to be smart and keep our eye on the goal to remove the Trump cancer from our body politic

7. Ceasing all well-justified peaceful protests is simply surrender and leaves the streets as

uncontested stages for demonstrations by the militias, klansmen, proud boys and other assorted thugs. But, when moms and veterans and a diverse crowd simply march and chant and display signs and then get gassed and pepper sprayed and beaten and shot and kidnapped---on film---that does not harm the Biden campaign. It spotlights the fascist methods which are contrary to our traditions, but which are second nature to Trump.
