It is like a damn contestant show or worse parading these women and the titillation of who it is and is not. It is like a production, a real life tv contest thing that I cannot stand and do not participate in.
Every step of the way, for me, it becomes more and more insulting as a woman.
I have been consistent from the start. Really, this is all I have to say about it.
I will be clear in saying from day one, we have an outstanding field and I vote blue.
I do not like how we have carried ourselves choosing a VP over the last handful of months. I am disappointed. I am thrilled it will be done soon.
I want to edit to add, I see Harris was chosen. Good. That feels good and Harris is a solid choice. I am excited. I am glad it is done. Harris was in my top three and she was my Presidential choice until she stepped out.

(2,203 posts)but that is exactly how it has been seeming - maybe I have not paid this much attention in the past, but I do not recall it being so much of a high suspense 'can't wait for the winner/big reveal' situation in the past.

(9,952 posts)here because I truly enjoy that some are thinking the same as I am. I get tired of being the only one in my world. I am going to go hike Hendrix park. Fun to be had. In my wonderful hippie mask. . Thanks.

(9,952 posts)get it if we do not even get it or willing to have a conversation about it. Maybe reflect on our own behavior, is all I am saying.

(22,976 posts)That is, as soon as the VP pick is announced, every right-wing talking head will pivot to lambasting her, whoever it is. It will be 24/7 bashing, as usual.
Up to this point, the usual suspects (Hannity, Tucker, Rush, et al) have all spent airtime playing (absurdly so) defense of their Neanderthal figurehead, as he flounders about impotently in the face of a global pandemic, a cratered economy, dropping like an anvil in the polls, and a crumbling Republican Party thats starting to distance itself a bit from His Majesty.
As soon as Biden names the VP choice, the right wing narrative will shift away from defending 45 to attacking the radical socialist Democrat thats on the ticket with Biden.
While I understand the anger and frustration caused by holding off, the delay has been time well spent, in terms of 45s image tarnishing even further with swing-state voters, where (thanks to the damnable and antiquated Electoral College) the 2020 election will be decided.

(4,437 posts)in the excitement of finding out who the next VP will be. I think it's hilarious and I am a woman. They can't keep us down. I think the contenders probably agree and are laughing, too, at the lame-stream media. It is pathetic, but that's where we are. When the reality hits them of how serious our VP is in addressing the issues of this country, their tunes will change.

(9,952 posts)I get the reasons. I do not justify it or dismiss it or excuse it. That is all. A difference. But... Harris is it. We can feel good. Now we can truly enjoy our brilliant team. So, it is all good. I am going for a hike. !!!
