If you could craft the Democratic campaign "message", what would it be?
I would like to see them emphasize the horrible effects of Trump's and his enablers' actions, over trying to persuade voters that Trump is unfit for office. Obviously it is true that he is unfit and worse, but I don't think that messaging worked in 2016, and despite his showing the depths of his corruption, lawlessness, hate, etc., there are too many people who just don't care about that.
I think it would be better for Dems to emphasize:
1) how much voters' lives have worsened due to mismanagement of COVID
2) that the damage to the economy was largely avoidable--show charts with the upswing during the Obama era
3) that Social Security and Medicare are under threat, and THEY and their relatives are going to be affected if this succeeds
4) how the appointment of inept or worse judges to the courts harms them
and with all of these, what specific actions the Dems would take future actions that would better their lives.
