Gallup. I actually answered the questions. Was fairly even handed on the questions, but there is an inherent flaw in asking how "Congress" is doing. They really should split out the House from the Senate, because that would make a difference in times like these, I think. Other than that, I really didn't think it felt like a push poll of some kind.
Oh well, I answered favorables on Biden and Dems in general, so I'm now a statistic, politically speaking.

(108,976 posts)1. If anyone answers a poll and gets a question with an "inherent flaw" like that,
it's possible to just refuse to answer the question. "I'd have to say, OTHER."
Then, if they ask you, you can explain that you are pleased with the House but think the Senate's doing a bad job.
It's possible, depending on the particular survey, that some coder will read the open-ended responses and make note of yours, especially if enough people do the same thing.

(58,645 posts)2. I suppose that would work...
but the gal I talked to seemed pretty adamant I follow her canned responses. She was probably more tired than I. I think she was Eastern time zone.

I had a temporary job summarizing those open-ended answers, so I know sometimes they do look at them.
