It is my first time. It should be interesting.
I'm under 50, very healthy and have been recently tested negative for cover 19.

(9,352 posts)Im an old broad with a couple of conditions that make me high risk.
Im still uneasy about not doing my civic duty but was held back by my posse. Glad there are people coming to take up the slack.

(51,582 posts)and it was a great experience. It was during Reagun's successful ( ) trickle down economy and there were NO jobs anywhere. It makes me wonder if alI Americans should be required to do this like they do with high school students as a graduation requirement. Can colleges require students to do this if they are healthy? It is a good civics lesson.

(3,275 posts)I don't know why I never thought about doing it before. I will probably keep doing it in the future. I usually take Election Day off from work anyway during the presidential and midterm elections. I usually have vacation days left by November that I have to use or lose by the end of the year.

I am the original Sleep Til Noon gal, and being at a polling place before the crack of dawn simply won't work for me.

(1,096 posts)It's an endurance test - very long day. It's good to see community members showing up though. I assume that medical safety measures will be in place and that it will be a positive experience for you.
