Efforts to recall (WI) Gov. Evers underway

MANITOWOC AND APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) Political tension is building in Wisconsin with President Trump’s visit to Kenosha on Tuesday — and the divide over the Governor’s response to civil unrest and the health pandemic.

A Facebook group says the Governor has gone too far and now they’re taking action.

In less than one week, more than 55,000 people have joined the Facebook group Recall Tony Evers— to remove the Governor from office.

Ann Meidl, a member of the Facebook group says, “I’m a part of the group because I don’t like to see what’s happening to our cities and the state.”

I'm not taking this too seriously. I believe Tony Evers has about a 57% approval rating.

3. My wife saw a recall booth in our town yesterday.

It’s hard to conjure up what their gripe is. The same Assembly and Legislature that gave Skippy Walker the most power of any Governor in the country significantly curtailed the newly elected Governor’s (Evers) power to the point where he appears more as a figure head than a Governor.
He is subservient to their obstruction. Add to that, a GOP controlled Supreme Court and you have a puppet Governor. He’s trying his best, but for the most part, he’s pissing into the wind.

4. The Trumpers are trying to recall Gov. DeWine in Ohio as well.

and failed to get enough signatures. Then blamed the failure on Covid.
