We have Al's son and his family living with us. They've been here 14 months.
I asked him (the son) if he voted in the primary yesterday. He said, "no, I don't vote in primaries." So then I said, "Well, you did register here in town so you can vote in November, right?" He said, "No. I'll vote in *****burg." (where he used to live and last registered).
I told him that was voter fraud. There are down-ballot races that involve Senate and Congressional seats and if he doesn't live in a particular district, he's not allowed to vote in those races.
"I only vote for President--so it's not fraud."
Yep, you guessed it--he's a tRump thumper.
(For what it's worth, it's not a close race in this state. Trump won't win it.)

(36,290 posts)I looked at the Michigan SOS website and don't see where it's a crime to vote at a polling place where one used to live. As long as you vote where you are registered.
I own two homes and only once did I change my registration when moving between the two over the years.

(14,854 posts)If they live in a state that won't be close, but can find a way to register, or stay registered, in battleground state, they claim that they intend to vote illegally in the battleground state to help Trump. I don't know anyone personally who's said they're doing this, I've only seen it said online.
If I were in your position, I'd have to seriously consider notifying the registrar of voters for his previous place of residence that he no longer lives there.
