hiring Steve Nash is an example of white privilege. He adds that the Nets passed on Tyron Lue, Mark Jackson, Sam Cassel. Steve Nash has no coaching experience.

(19,001 posts)But Nash doesn't have the chops for the job that Lue or Jackson do. He was a hall of fame player, but he has zero coaching experience.
I don't think race played a factor at all though, this is just ownership trying to do something different.

(2,498 posts)I'd like to see Jackson get the nod in Philly though. We could use him. Maybe he can get Embiid to post up more instead of slinging threes all game and get Simmons to develop a jump shot.
EDIT: I guess KD and KI did sign off on it.

(10,038 posts)Dude has ZERO coaching experience and I can't imagine KD and KI signed off on this. Tyronn Lue not having a head-coach job in the league unexplainable. I also think the Pelicans firing Alvin Gentry was a load of shite.
EDIT: My, new, understanding is that KD and Nash are tight.
