It brought me to tears.

(41,930 posts)She may have been told to write down what she wanted to say rather than ad libbing. Thats sometimes done in time constrained events.

(25,951 posts)I also wanted to hear Biden's response. The speaker, whose name is Porsche Bennett, begins at about 42:50. There is no reply right away, but another speaker after. Joe's comments start at 51:52; he addresses Porsche personally at about 56:39 and his remarks include a promise to form a National Commission on Policing. He rips trump for his incitement of white supremacy and lack of morality. He also talks about John Lewis and how we all have to vote. He says that we have to deal with the original sin of the country, slavery. There's more, and Joe is eloquent and heartfelt.

(7,408 posts)She has her N95 underneath her cloth mask. All she needs is the face shield and it would match what my pulmonologist wears in clinic.

(2,636 posts)She is eloquent and genuine. No histrionics. No faux outrage. Honesty.
Would that ALL those counter-protestors and right wingers could not just hear, but listen.
I'd vote for this woman if she ran for office. I hope she does.
