I was thinking of the idea of sending in a mail in ballot and then going down in person. mitch96 Sep 2020 #5

I found this article to be illuminating. Surprising, but illuminating....

Regarding double voting; it may not be as simple as you think:

voting twice in the same precinct. It might solve a lot of problems if election commissioners came out and told the public that anyone who votes twice will risk having their vote not count. If nothing else, it might discourage the repubs from continuing down this path.

Voting in two states would seem to require that you would have to lie on your place of residence in order to register in one of the states. If not, I live within 20 miles of three states and on Election day I would be driving.

Old Donnie doesn't want me voting at all, much less three times.

Now if they have a record of you requesting a mail in ballot then the vote in person could/should negate the mail in vote, yes? IF they are that technically savy to have a way of cross checking.
Every state is different..
