(70,449 posts)BTW all those people in those pictures were combat vets too.
Truman in WW I, JFK in WW II, Charles de Gaulle in WW 11,
and the soldiers, sailor, and nurses in WW II.
I wonder if Trump wants to lose or knows the fix is in.

(31,926 posts)But Im not going to hold my breath any of the blue trump signs will get taken down around here.
I dont understand how Biden isnt ahead of him by 50 points in the polls.

(70,449 posts)... about the fallen G.I.s might strip away even more votes. Arkansas, Tennessee, KY, WV, Idaho,
Oklahoma and Alaska are his fire wall now. South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana
will be very tough for Trump to win because if the blacks can vote an their votes are counted
they are no longer solid "red states." I wouldn't be surpised to Utah and Texas flip on Trump
this fall.
Our state, Ohio, has become Alabama north and still might vote Trump. Hell, Obama saved all those
auto workers' jobs in Lordstown, OH and yet a lot of the white people working there voted for Trump.
I know that Russia installed him but the figure that > 50% of white college educated women voted for
him in 2016 always floors me. The man admitted to sexually assulting women for God's sake.

(32,596 posts)They can't wait to see the last of him. Chump is not - and never will be - a patriot. All good Americans who want to honor the US Military should vote him out!

(8,039 posts)His Addison's disease and related health issues gave him an absolute out to military service if he wanted.
Instead of finding a doctor to write him a medical pass, he went doctor shopping for one to say he COULD serve, and then enlisted. He then insisted on a front line post, when his father's money and influence could have landed him a desk job during the duration.
His older brother also served, and died in a mission over occupied France.
And this photo was taken while Kennedy was suffering intense back pain after over-exerting himself in another public ceremony. Even so, he managed to pay his respects.

(3,557 posts)He looks like he is deeply moved by the ceremony, like there are tears building up in his eyes. Vets who have faced combat know that feeling.
Hes not pretending to care or faking anything.
